DSI operates as a data processor; our clients are the data controllers. DSI provides a content and process-neutral platform that allows our clients to administer both paper-based and online surveys, collect data, and report results based on their need for information. The DSI platform is configured to meet client specifications. If applicable, the configuration also includes integration with third party products and assessments. At all times the client owns the data, is responsible for what data is collected, definition of the scoring approach, the data analysis, the application of results, and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
DSI may obtain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for the purpose of administering assessments and assigning results. Assessment responses and reports are securely processed in the United States of America. The client, the Data Controller, should inform those taking an assessment what PII is collected, the basis for processing PII, the purpose and use of the assessment(s), entities that will have access to results, measures taken to protect PII and data, your rights to manage your PII, and the client GDPR representative and the client Data Protection Officer.
Our goal is to adhere to policies that ensure the highest level of confidentiality and security for users of our SaaS offerings. Each of our employees has signed a statement to uphold confidentiality and non-disclosure. In order to provide a secure Internet experience for our customers all data transmissions over the Internet are encrypted using 256-bit https (secured hypertext transfer protocol) standards and the data is secured behind firewalls. Additionally, DSI can assign user names and passwords to control access and/or administrative rights according to project specifications. Cookies are used to tie user requests together into a single session and are session cookies. No personal information is stored in cookies. When requested by clients, we will archive collected data and results for future comparative analysis. Our data retention policy is to keep data according to the client’s data retention policy or as required by the business use case.
DSI does not sell your data to third parties. The only parties who have access to your data are those who are engaged and necessary to fulfill the initiative. Your de-identified assessment data may be provided to the assessment publisher, included generically in research, combined in aggregate group reporting, and/or used to develop norm data for use in reporting.

In general, individuals visiting DSI's website do so anonymously without revealing personal information. Individuals may, but are not required to, supply personal information on DSI's websites. Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage.
Compliance and Disclosure
Data Solutions International complies with both the EU-U.S. and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework and California Consumer Privacy Act.
DSI remains liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if the company’s third-party processor onward transfers recipient’s relevant personal information in a manner inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, unless DSI proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
We may disclose information in the following situations: (a) in response to a subpoena, court order or legal process, to the extent permitted and required by law; (b) to protect user security or the security of other persons, consistent with applicable laws; or (c) in connection with a sale, joint venture or other transfer to some or all of the assets of Data Solutions International Inc, in such cases DSI will ensure that the agreed level of protection is fully continued.
Right to Choose (Opt Out)

Within the scope of this privacy notice, if a privacy complaint or dispute cannot be resolved through Data Solutions International, Inc.’s internal processes, Data Solutions International, Inc. has agreed to participate in the VeraSafe Privacy Shield Dispute Resolution Procedure. Subject to the terms of the VeraSafe Privacy Shield Dispute Resolution Procedure, VeraSafe will provide appropriate recourse free of charge to you. Please note that if your complaint is not resolved through these channels, under limited circumstances, a binding arbitration option may be available before a Privacy Shield Panel.
The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over Data Solutions International, Inc. compliance with the Privacy Shield.
